Frequently Asked Questions

What do you grow?

We are propagators and grafters of conifer liners for further growing on by other nurseries, garden centers and/or landscapers. We supply them in 4.5 in / quart pots and one gallon pots.

How old are the plants?

The quarts are a minimum of two years old, depending upon the variety. Plants are released from the nursery when the top growth is well branched and rooted through the container.

What zone is your nursery?

Our nursery is located in plant hardiness zone 5. Our last frost date is Memorial Day.

What pot size should plants be potted into?

Generally, our quarts are potted into 1 to 5 gallon pots or directly into nursery fields. The choice depends on the plant variety, vigor, time of year and the specific growing environment.

How do I place an order?

You may contact us via email, melvyn@horizonplants.com, or by phone (810) 441-8944. You will be sent an acknowledgement via email or post.

Is there a minimum order?

We prefer you to order in multiples of 15 for quarts or flats of 6 for gallons.
